A Prayer for Our Young Men
January 22, 2017

Holding our sixth son in our arms, 13 years ago, my husband said, “What does it mean that God has given us all these boys?”

“This world needs strong godly men.” I quipped, without thinking. Then we just sat there looking at each other, realizing what a monumental job lay ahead of us. We are really going to need God!

christian quote, homeschooling quote

God has been faithful all these years. We have failed many many times, but we have cried out to God and He has been merciful. Now that our oldest is 22, and two of our boys are courting, I felt the need to write a prayer. Not just what we would like our young men to marry, but what they should be in order to deserve a bride of such quality. Backwards I know. But here it is…the cry of this mother’s heart. I hope this sparks thoughts on your own prayers. Please comment…what letters/thoughts come to your mind to pray? Originate your own and share.
